if somebody needs a clamshell toolbox ... join in on Gary's W+N order.
the part number is A71111102916 and the price is 266.72 euro plus a share of shipping. then you will only have to pay your domestic shipping. or you can quickly order (before wednesday) and you will pay 29 euro shipping (after the 20 euro discount). your choice. but since i am ordering more than 400 euro of parts, i am paying a good portion of the shipping on this order.

I received a price of $350 euro. Any special method to get the 266 euro price??

have you logged in as a US resident? that will give you the price without the VAT $335.90 ... then you enter the xmas 18 code and get the 30 euro discount if your total order is more than 300 euro (before shipping)

My account is of course, US....price I get when logged in is 294.29 euros (~335.92) The last time I looked, they were right around there. Are they actually available again? And how do they "actually" compare to the originals?

Yes, available again. They look exactly the same except made with better plastic. What a majority of us with the new clamshells do is keep the heavy metal tools in another box or foam from a broken one. We only put all the tools in for a show, it makes the tool box last longer.

And never close the trunk from the fully open position. Lower it to four or five inches from the rim and close firmly using the Roundel on the back of the palm of your hand. Read that on here I think, recently. Please correct me if I am wrong.

That makes perfect sense. My box literally feel apart as I was trying to fix a small crack. 50 year old plastic is the culprit. All of those tools are too heavy to remain in that box forever.
