Yea, welcome to the world of ebay.

Stuff that used to be priced at $25 at local club swapmeets now goes for $150 on ebay.

I regularly monitor ebay for Alfa Romeo parts - it isn't uncommon for auctions to end at prices that exceed those published in the suppliers' catalogs. That's right, people will pay more for a used part from some stranger than a new part from a reputable company. It boggles the mind.

I saw that toolkit too, and added it to my "Watch List". Not that I plan on bidding, just curious what it will go for. I wouldn't be surprised to see it sell for > $600.

That tool kit has been for sale on E-Bay for months. He had a buy it now price of $649 before and now $600 opening bid with reserve not met. I think it is a complete joke.

The blue cloth with the BMW logo seems to be missing...
Why do people care about these lousy tools anyway?
All you need is a 10 and 13mm spanner or equivalent, as well as a few screwdrivers.
Duct tape and fuses are good too.
The box is pretty, but does not support the full tool set. Better to buy the tool roll from Coupeking if you want the extra weight in the trunk.
