Has anyone successfully pinned or locked their mechanically advanced distributor to use motronic 1.3 on their cs efi converted engine? Thanks

Yes, gives a more traditional look especially with e12 L-jet plenum, runners and fuel rail.

(Just ignore Don!) :)

I'm with Don on this one, actually.

Can't say I have ever considered modifying the previous-gen parts to work with a later system in such a fashion, seems like a lot of work for a cosmetic thing. But, to each their own.

In order to actually do it, I suppose you would just have to fix the dizzy such that it would not advance/retard and would effectively duplicate the rotor/cap combo from M1.3.

I found out that Sven locked his at one point.

I remember 4 years ago when Don sang the praises of M1.3 :).

4 years ago I thought older women could still be good looking.
Time changes a lot of things.....

I just like the old school look, e12 stub manifolds, C runners, plenum, water pipe and fuel rail. Just installed the injectors and a few yellow zinc nuts and bolts. And I'm not going for crazy horsepower, just useable torque.

Are you also going to use E21 320i runners for extra low-end torque?
