'73 in NY

What engine is that? I vaguely recognise it, posted here before?

Looks like there must be a box of sorts over the intake trumpets and the cool air pipe has been removed? Individual coils too.

I'd like to hear and drive it. I'd also like to know what was done to it structurally to offset the additional power.
