I was asked about this steering wheel a few days ago - in my opinion it looked like a fake based on the photos. I had heard about someone in Europe making a batch of these where they engraved "Alpina" onto new MOMO Prototipos (which are currently only available in 35cm), so I asked about the size and what date was stamped on the back. I find it troubling that the body of the original ad does not state that its is a replica - this is only admitted when its clear that s/he is not fooling anyone. The updated text is funny, too. (come on, admit it, who's the vulture?)

I just wanted to add that there are several sellers that consistently try to fool people into thinking that they have a "genuine" or "rare" wheel by adding in a readily available logo'd horn button or story about how they removed it from some special car. caveat emptor!
