Raised Letter C Pillar Roundels

What years of CSs have the raised letter C pillar roundels? I have seen a few '74 cars with them and like them better than the cloisonné roundels.

I'd like to find a pair for my car by the way. :wink:

If I remember this correctly, seems like when I was trying to order replacement 22 years ago, the raised letter was the super session to the cloisonné.

not sure about which ones were coming in which year/version cars
i have seen original coupes with aluminium raised lettered trunk and bonnet but enamel C-pillar roundels
IMHO you will not get a different part number for those ones, i think part number is the same

Yes. They were the replacement/ supersession to the much higher quality early cloisonne. I think most people are thankful that BMW brought back the original version and they are unlikely to make two versions. back in the day I would have been happy to trade you and I'm sure you'll find people who still have the embossed version laying around, even NOS...
