2800cs ??? front bumper on ebay

not sure what this guy is smoking, but he insists that this is a euro 2800cs front bumper. i tried to convince him otherwise ... but he is adamant that it came off of his 2800cs. perhaps he had one of the rare early restomods / frankencoupes.

Well, strictly speaking, he doesn't say this is a 2800 CS bumper; his exact words are: "European front bumper from a 69 2800 CS". E.g., it could be a '59 Borgward bumper that he found in the trunk of a 69 2800 CS.

I have always found ebay sellers to have the utmost in knowledge about the parts they are selling. Ha Ha

Hey, at least the guy includes enough pictures to make it clear to anyone with a pulse that this is NOT an e9 part.

this is what he said to me thru ebay email after my question -

the 2800cs + 3.0cs front bumper have a center section that is thinner in the middle and also has over-riders on it.
