The coupe actually has them perfect but the E24 has the same Hellas and they are crooked.

My wife followed me once in the E24 and it was really annoying. Not annoying that my wife was following me you perverts, it was annoying how the lights were misaligned and reflecting in the mirror.

What is the method for getting them right?

So far no mechanic was willing to help me (including an Oakland guru that shall remain nameless). If nobody here helps me I will find where you all live and go drive behind you at night.

I too will follow at an annoyingly close proximity applying a be dazzling strobe effect between the highs and lows. ...

When i did my rehab, i disassembled/cleaned my light buckets and discovered the major PITA in their proper reassembly/tuning/adjustment. My brother gave me that, 'uh...not sure your supposed to take those apart. I've heard stories...." look. Even tried the owners manual tune process against a wall.... but didn't appear to do much.

Always wondered what it must be like to be properly lit at night....would it be just as nice as my Camry?! Lol!

Someone please illuminate us!

How about a headlight tune gathering in Monterey in August in some dark alley.....could be a funny foto op ;-)

My low beams point at the ground, and my high beams could signal the start of a movie premier. Been meaning to do this as well.

I went to the local inspection shop. They have a board to display the beam on with marks for where the beams should hit, both high and low. After taking off the headlight surrounds (very carefully - have you seen the prices?), there are screws where you can adjust the buckets up and down and left and right. It takes longer to take the surrounds off and on.

Its one of those things that, after adjusting, you say, "Holy crap, I should have done this years ago!"

Terry stopped by with the clever gadget. Did both cars, pretty cool.
Will test at dusk.

Thanks!

why mess with perfection

Arde, You should leave them alone- that way you'll know when she's following you. As Judge Judy would say; "when you're ahead no need to say anything" :-)
