Well both my project cars arrived today at the Roadster Shop in IL.
We are currently working on a conceptual design plan that will include a new chassis to accommodate the S85. Concept will be a Singer 911 style hot rod E9 that maintains the character of the original. Will bring in styling queues form some of the group 2 E9 racers of the past. Several years of work ahead on this to do it right.

I have my bottomless box of popcorn and keg 'o beer and look forward to watching this one.

I've enjoyed following bdigel and his restomod racecar thread - hopefully you'll share your experience as well.

Thanks Chris...some what limiting but helpful to know.

Belongs in the Projects and Restorations section, doesn't it?

BDigel's work is a hoot to watch, though his latest was supposedly from a coupe "too far gone to restore" yet he by now must have spent several times what it would have cost to fix 'er up. Or does he own the shop where the work's done?

front air dam

When you yank the front airdam off the siennabraun car, send it to me, and I'll send you a case of good beer, and say ten Hail Mary's for the project (if I can remember how they go; been a while...). I really do admire your ambition, and do look forward to it...Le Corbusier said, and Singer would agree, "God lives in the details"...

Wow, your Mustang is gorgeous! Looking forward to seeing how the E9 eventually turns out. That shop does some very impressive work.

Candidly I was so impressed with what they are doing that I wanted to do another project with them. No rush on this one and their first ground up euro car so everyone is motivated to pull off something amazing. The E9 from a design perspective has always been one of my favorites. Very excited about getting started with the design phase. I have a good collection of inspiration photos to work from.

airdam..

Thanks for that...Glad to see the "FUN" factor in the Mustang and 911...Playing with cars is supposed to be fun, and I'm glad to see detail and enjoyment..keep the pictures coming.

Will do...I actually like the design and build part better than driving them...
also close to finishing a 70 2002 with a EVO III s14 2.5...

Is that the Colorado car, or 'nuther one...

Yes aka "agent orange". Very frustrating build ....we got sold a bill of goods for a custom pectel ems by the same guy that built the pectel ems for the Singer 911's. Guy turned out to be a crook and a con and after getting my lawyer involved we got a partially finished problematic harness and issues with the pectel. The cpu just hit back from the UK after 5 months which took me calling the CEO of cosworth to break it loose. Next time motec. No eta on getting it running but should be some time around the end of summer...not sure which summer at this rate....
