I have a four speed 1971 2800cs in Nacht Blau. It is virtually if not totally rust-free having lived in Texas until I purchased it four years ago. It has a 3.5 liter engine from an '88 535. I have the original engine. Restored dark blue leather interior. Wood is perfect. Totally restored mechanically and cosmetically. I have a few loose leaf notebooks documenting the entire restoration. The car has been properly stored indoors during its time in Chicago. I probably put on a few hundred miles per year. Ben Thongsai who many of you probably know has serviced it. Here is my post on this forum when I purchased it containing a few pics:

Let's assume the car is as nice as I am representing it to be. Can you provide a range of value as someone offered to purchase it? I am uncertain I want to sell. I am not a troll poster. I have posted on the forum and corresponded with many of you over the years. I just don't post much and am out of the loop. I know a famous restoration shop north of Chicago asks close to if not more than six figures for his full restorations but his prices may not necessarily be the benchmark for what our beautiful E9 cars are trading for.
Thanks for your educated opinions.
