Had a hell of a weekend in LA. We are in a severe drought yet the rain we had this weekend was pouring like I have not seen in a long time, and the fact that we are in July made it even stranger. What does this have to do with the forum?? Well, I drop off my wife at the local supermarket and drive around the area until she is done shopping and come across what you see in the photo. A BMW 2800cs parked with rain pouring on it. I was so tempted to get out and knock on the door but with two kids in the back and the rain it just didn't happen. This car belong to anyone on the forum? It's cool to see another coupe in your city that you have lived in for all your life but have never come across.

If I lived in Beverly Hills then it very well may have been his house. On second thought what if he really lives here and Beverly Hills is part of a facade? I will pass by next week to see if the car has a new interior and a One Day paint job. Lol.

I too often feel compelled to save the orphan or abused car. Around the corner is a 67 Cougar, looks like someone had put some effort into it. Has been sitting for 1.5 years and this winter, it was gone for 2 months under the snow. Perhaps its own igloo was beneficial. I have been tempted to either buy a car cover for it and leave it on the hood or leave a note offering to find the guy a indoor spot somewhere. Is there a department of social services for cars?
