Hi there, my turn indicator has recently decided to stay on constant green. Switch or flasher unit need replacing?

Power steering reservoir - leaking out the top through center hole. Curious if anyone has ideas...

Thanks... Tom

Two thing on the power steering reservoir: my e39 is constantly spewing fluid into the engine bay. Apparently the adrupt steering inputs associated with spirited driving heat the fluid to the point where it expands are pushes out of the small holes at the top of the reservoir. When I take that car on the track, I wrap a shop rag around the top of the reservoir to contain the mess.

The other thing to note is that on the e9, the distance between the lid on the fluid reservoir and the fluid in the reservoir can be varied. When I changed my filter, which was absolutely filthy, I had to unscrew a triangular nut on top of a small washer or plate holding a spring that holds the filter cover and filter onto the bottom of the reservoir. The triangular nut sets a limit on how low the lid sits on the reservoir. If you loosen that nut slightly, you expand the space for the fluid to expand in the reservoir. (If you loosen it a lot, however, the lid will not seal and the reservoir will leak around the perimeter.)
