Mecum '73 3.0CSA,fjord/red

The interior certainly started off black as witnessed by the black door armrest/pull and the black plastic on the headrest arm

Same car?

This is weird. Either the registry is wrong or the Mecum's ad has the wrong VIN
The person who registered the car also said "Interior is all original and is super nice dark blue leather"

So the registered car is schwarz over blue and the ad is fjord over red.

The seats are definitely recovered. I'm personally not a huge fan of the super here's color scheme.

No sale at $65k if I understand Mecum's site correctly.

$65k is a strong price for a bone stock automatic 3.0 CS.

Add buyer's fee, that's over $70k!

Would look way better Schwarz black w/that red interior.

Call me a sceptic but some times I wonder if auction houses run up prices (below reserves) to make estimates hold for other cars. Yes I am a sceptic but I see a lot of $65k no sales on mecums site.

absolutely - auction houses always have bidders to run the price up to a price just below the reserve ... or to get the price higher to the estimate on a no-reserve auction. i have heard that from a few friends who sold their cars at auction ... and Wayne Carini has described this practice on his show.

Just like googoutgoogout
