I believe I counted 15 coupes this morning, including at least three 2000cs. Most were in the main meeting area but at least two more were out in the parking lot.

A huge number of other pre 87 BMW were there, mostly 2002s, e30s, 5ers, 6ers, 8ers, etc...

Here is a quick video of the some of the e9, led by Ron Perry's stunning CSL

Great cars, great people ; glad we made the (900 mile) drive.
Got to meet Chris, Tom, Kirk & several others; thanks for sharing your knowledge & experience.

LOL, there I am in my red shirt looking at Ron Perry's CSL the beginning talking of how I want Athena's engine to look by next spring.

Great mix of colors... And not one Fjord!

I was really surprised.

There was a polaris coupe that was once fjord! A bit of fjord remains.
A beautiful polaris with tan leather arrived later, love that color combo.
A nice graphite grey CSL tribute car, wind splits, roof hoop, rear spoiler, 635 style front air dam won best E9 and it was a handsome car. If it were a concours, my vote would be for HBChris's malaga coupe. The variety of color was refreshing; another beautiful coupe was the verona 3.0 plus another verona 2.5CS, not many of those. There was a Taiga E9 there too, nice color, interesting location for CSL stripe on front air dam and should the bolts be visible on the roof hoop? I haven't seen enough of them to be an expert.

For those lusting after a coupe, there were 2 for sale. both polaris, both very nice. The prices have gone up, deal with it...$45K & $65K.

It was great to see a lot of my west coast friends and meet a lot of new folks. I consider myself fortunate to have been in California for this event and thanks go out to HBChris for his hospitality!

Great seeing you neighbor, Stan. Glad you extended your stay to make the show. See you at VSR next weekend.

This was the one I voted for:

It was difficult because there was so many nice ones.

Here are all the pictures I took of the anthracite CS.

At first glance, they looked like 17"s, but as I continued to look, I believe they are 16"s. Here's a crazy question : Can having chrome wheel arches aid in giving the impression that the wheel diameter is larger than what it actually is ?

Any more pics anyone, I was only took a few of the E'3's and one Panorama of 02's around to the E'9's. I posted under E3 section but would love to see some of the E9's in more detail. Thanks in advance. Any make or model pics are welcome in my opinion under this thread since it covers the show. Just post a link or something.

Pics it is!

Stolen from another website... Thanks Vince!!!

This year was hot, dry and clear (again; but having it this hot at the end of October is sort of abnormal even for us). I wouldn't be surprised if it topped out at around 95 on the field in the afternoon. This had us and most everyone ducking for the shade trees wherever possible and beer...
