Seattle: '74 CS (edit: previously $24K)

Well since there is interest in this car, here are some pics I took a few weeks back. I didn't snap a pic of every rust spot...

The '74 OEM wheel sucks compared to the earlier factory wood wheel. Other than originality, I can think of no redeeming quality of the '74 wheel. I'm not sure what you mean about the hubcaps. Those are factory '74 wheels with factory center caps. There are many things to critique on the car, but not these two issues IMO.

I have seen this car, and have a few more pics of the rust in the rockers. If anyone is interested in the car, let me know via PM with your email address, and I will send what I have taken...

Hmm...

I actually like the 1974 factory wheel. Nice center emblem, leather wrapped, not like driving a bus.

Works for me...

My opinion of course but perhaps a bit harsh. One of the things I like about the classic e9 interior is the opportunity to run an early or sport wheel, wood or otherwise. From '74 through the late '80's BMW had very similar padded wheels, with few exceptions like the m-tech wheel.

I always wanted to put the M coarse spline wheel from my 1985 E24 on my old 74' E9.

I should try that sometime... As long as I get a coarse spline, it should work, right?
