Hello Gruppe. first the question.>> Is the neutral safety switch on the auto trans adjustable?? <<
I had to jiggle the shift lever previously to get it to start...now jiggling the shifter doesnt work so I jumped a couple of wires to the driver glove box and start it from there for the time being, but Too tired to go under the car to monkey around with the switch if its not adjustable.
TRIP report...After I put the webers on, adjusted valves, new points, plugs wires, belts, trans and pinion seals headed out for 1500 miles to the ewest coast. Average fuel consumption seems to be about 13litres/100 km. Havent ben over 100 miles an hour til i get new shocks. But its is nice and fast. No over heating even running all day in near 30 degree C and /or pulling up mountain passes. Didnt need the aux fan once! Only emergency pit stop was blown upper radiator hose. The car let me know with a small bit of water on the windshield. When I pulled over I was able to cutoff the broken 3 inch section, stretch the hose back on, reclamp and drive to thee parts place. Where I took off the bad hose and went to their hose section, found one that resembled mine..cut off the excess of the new hose to fit the coupe, new clamps, anti-freeze and off again.
Great cross country trip in an awesome sports coupe. Now to get my registration and plate(if you remember my manitoba VIN sage?) I need to safety it again! So Safety switch?? any one?? TIA
