Looking back, would you still recommend your rubber rejuvenation method of:
"I scrubbed it lightly but thoroughly with acetone and 0000 steel wool (off the car) to remove layers of old dressings, undercoat overspray etc (I once used Forever Black and it looked like crap and wouldn't fully come off till now). After the acetone the rubber was soft and clean. Then I Gummi Pfleged the inside and outside and it came back amazingly well. The technique I use is to apply liberally with the built in sponge, let is soak but not dry, then damp a paper towel with a little then lightly wipe the excess off. After it dried overnight I added another coat."
