He was late for qualifying. We happened to be checking out his car when he runs around the corner in a hurry, says "traffic was horrible", opens the door, jumps in and takes off! I barely had enough time to grab my phone and get this shot...

And was incredibly poor planning that the weekend before, I picked up a new-to-me BMW K1300GT bike in Portland and have to be in San Diego to ship it to Honolulu, so that all I got to see was a peek into the auction tent (gorgeous silver BMW 328) and, heading south, more Lambos and Ferraris in multiple packs eithan there are in all of Hawaii. Almost all of them in bright gaudy colors. Really stand out on the road despite thir lack of height.
OTOH the bike performed flawlessly with me and the wife streaming down the coast. Have taught her to pack lightly, and "if you buy it, you mail it".
