Hi Folks,

I need to ship some spare door wood and wanted to pick up a mailing tube on the way home from the office. Does anyone happen to know how long the wood trim is on the front doors? Thanks in advance!

39" but I would add at least 2-3" for packing materials.

That size tube is either hard to find or some-what expensive. I wish you all the best in your endeavor and hopefully the world is greener by not making an extra trip.

Wow they are expensive. I think I'll just use 2" ABS pipe instead.

FedEx has a golf club tube @50" ($15) or a 'telescopic' tube ($13). I think any price above $10 is a bit much but it might save time.

ABS pipe sounds like the solution and it is far more durable -- well done.

You might check with ups as they have a triangular shaped tube that might
do the job, and if don't want to ship with them, just turn the tube inside out.
Also if you are close to either art stores or blueprint shops they usually
have some tube options.

I happened to have the perfect 3"x40" abs pipe. The door wood is about 2.25" tall so you need a 2.5" - 3" mailing tube.

My phone (and flickr account) is littered with terrible meaningless pictures... ;)

Thick cardboard ends on top of bubble wrapped inside:

Markos, from the photo above , can we assume your sales repertoire has extended to "Adult "products ?...as to the length of my wood query , I'm an Imperial guy ie feet and furlongs .My wife is metric and regrettably measures in millimetres.

My post title was purely a coincidence. Get your mind out of the gutter! ;)
