I was talking with Dan about a new forum decal. Here is what I came up with:

These can be both inside window + outside application.

The rest I will leave to our members...

Mo,

LOOKS GOOD to me. I like the color options - any possibility each would be available? Maybe a blue would be a good addition since there are a lot of them. What diameter do you propose for the decal?

I would like a color or colors that are closer to the original(s). And I don't understand the dates/years in the laurel wreath. In the right color I would buy one.
Perhaps your best work so far in my estimation. Well done. Steve

Hi Gary,

Decals would be 3" in diameter and yes I can add colors, blue is actually a good idea (atlantik or nachtblau).

I would like to make all the colors in both types of decals, but with that said it comes down to supply vs. demand.

I am still working on the details and it always helps to have as much input as possible.

Thanks,

Mo

Thanks Steve,

Colors vary from computer screen & I am working on optimizing each hue. These where just to see if different colors made sense.

The wreath is really there to combat dead-space but it does provide homage to ETCC championships (1973, 1975-1979).

I think a little credit to the forum + our cars racing history is a fitting story.

It is actually a lot of work to get them made & shipped. But I think the forum needs to be represented.

Thanks,

Mo Faraz

I would be in for a couple, nachtblau
I am with Sooner, Nachtblau is my first choice. I wonder how many e9ers know the significance of those years in the wreath? I didn't.

But I agree about filling the space. How about a kidney grille? When I look at the laurel wreath I think "Hail Caesar". Steve

Orange front blinker lenses rather than blue and the blue on the glass and wheels is overwhelmingly blue, I would go a few shades lighter. Maybe light grey for the wheels background color.

Suggestions have been noted (note the kidney grill at bottom). The blue is close and can be adjusted of course.

This combination reminds me of the Alpina blue/red car (one of my favorites).

I can certainly make more adjustments it looks like (5) colors can be available and quantity of each should depend on interest.

The outside decals can be put anywhere and shared so they could be more popular.

I will post updates after more feedback is posted.

Thanks,

Mo

#3 here: http://www.e9coupe.com/faq-general.htm

Last coupe made 10/75 which would make 1976 model year (I doubt a car made that late would stay 1975 MY)

For Europe I would say definitely 1976 e9 coupes existed to bridge the gap with 630's

US-spec maybe, but I think looking worldwide availability 1976 would make sense.

Stan, If thats a spare grill badge PM me if your interested in selling? I've been looking for a while.

I personally like the laurel wreath and years better than the kidney grille. You might add: 'ETTC Championship' (or something like that) above the wreaths/dates so it is definitive. And, since no '1976' models were imported to the US, and the Europeans date the car with the first year of licensing, and since the last car was produced in 1975, perhaps 1975 is more accurate than 1976.

+1 ON THE WREATH. GRILL LOOKS EMPTY AND INCOMPLETE.

Best I can do is revert back to original style and post a complete series of colors (5).

As for actually making them, selling & shipping that will have to be organized. Many owners would have to get involved for these to work (my guess is ~50).
