Konig / Scheel Seats

I had a set of Konig seats in my '74 when I bought it spring of 2015. They fit well, but a bit high. The P-928 track car I had driven for several years were equipped with Recaro SRD seats, which are very 'enclosing', yet adjustable for rake. I thought these Konigs were every bit as good for keeping the driver/passenger 'in position' during agressive driving.

I sold them to Ohmess, so you can contact him about them - mine were high quality leather, and went for a LOT less than these!

For those who asked later, here is a pix of the seats before they were removed and taken by Ohmess:

I think these are similar to the seats I sold to RSPorsche (Scott), which were Scheel 400s. They worked well in an e9. I am 5 9.
RSPorsche is taller.

I plan to install Gary's seats into my e9, but playing with my Webers is so much fun I haven't gotten around to it.

It looks like you'll have to pick up or make a set of adapters to fit them into an E9. There have been several threads on installing Scheels, which share the same mounts on the bottom of the rails.

Dave/Aardvark sells adapters that can be used for both the Scheels and Koenigs. I am 6'1 and have both styles installed in my coupes with the Aardvark brackets. I have no head clearance issues.

With regard to the height of the seat, i.e., the headrest, if your seats are being reupholstered, have your trimmer shorten the height of the headrest. I changed the patterns on both sets of seats to make a custom, uniform interior. Have fun and enjoy it. I've had these seats in and/or for my coupe since 2004. The stock seats in my 2800cs did a number on my back. I wouldn't go back to stock seats for anything.
