Hi. Just found out my friend has two large green handle screwdrivers. $120 each includes shipping.
Thanks

Sorry Koopman, no need for tools right now. When one factors in two red handled screw drivers and a rear driver's side bumperette it may just be cheaper to just buy a CSL.

I had not idea the green handles were now moving up too!

All the best- Richard

Re this first world problem of having a red or green screwdriver :) Can someone clarify why some tool kits got green and some red screwdrivers? Was it year or model related? Or just random?

Any advice or links to other posts on this tool topic appreciated. My toolkit pic below, but how do I tell if they are all origional?

Somehow those green screw drivers you show do not appear to be for a large BMW tool kit. Originals are not translucent. Plus the ones that you show do not appear to properly fit their respective slot. The small does not seem to have a reversible? blade.

My understanding on tools is that somewhere in the eighties, around '83 or so, the tools came to the dealers in bulk and were placed in the kits by lot boy/ get ready people. So tools were randomly selected. By the end of 83 the reds were gone except sporadically. For some reason all of the M6/M635 seemed to get reds. Thus the tools in an early car should have reds. Watch my classified ads in about a month.

Also rare is the telescopic sparkplug wrench. This came with "M" cars and is rarer than the reds.
