Nice looking car! Are those actually CSL Scheel seats you have in there?
Since your caption says almost ready, may I suggest that you 'blacken' the body under the fender grills.
You can use flat black car wrap foil which is installed/ stuck in a few minutes. Very easy job.
Seems to be missed by many after a new paint job/ restoration. On lighter colors it's even more evident.
Cheers

Ps. W&N also sell them precut but any car wrap shop will sell you a sqft of black flat foil for way less.

The seats are brand new Cobra brand. I believe they came from England. Not sure how accurate of replica they are, but they're nice seats.

I liked it better without the black background. If the grilles were chrome, or if the paint were a lighter color, I probably would use the black.

very nice, congratulations! Just wondering what you plan to do for a hood support, or just use a prop rod?

The owner wants to do a CSL style prop rod, but I think those had an aluminum hood, didn't they? This one is HEAVY. Should have kept the springs in my opinion, but I suppose the last mechanic lost them along with everything else. Might just end up with a broom stick :D

Yeah, a shock system would be cool. I know Ray Korman installed a prop rod in Doug Dolan's e9 when he stuffed the S38 in there. Seems to work fine with a stock hood.

Yes, I have a prop rod on mine too with stock (steel) hood. No problems.
