Plenum support nuts?

Hi,
Does anyone know where I can buy the round capped steel nuts and star washers for the top of the Plenum support brackets. I need two of these as I want to affix my Plenum support brackets with correct nuts.
Any advice or if anyone has them to sell, let me know. Many thanks.

Hi Mal, not sure if you've checked realoem but just shows M8 hex nut ( no washer ). FWIW, I used a washer ( actually, more of a spacer ) and then acorn nut. Cheers, Simon

The parts book shows a standard m8 nut, in fact it shows 34 needed as it is used all over the head and plenum and runners.

Correct- no Djet plenum had those originally.

Thanks guys, yes you are right.
Just looked at a few more E9 FI engine pics online and they seem to just have the M8 Hex nuts.
Well that was easily solved. Many thanks to the forum members as always.

The nuts supplied by BMW now have washers included.

I believe all those nuts on the intake area are JIS type nuts for good reason.
All Csi's used JIS type nuts.
All the e23 cars. The e12. The e whatever all use JIS type on the intake.
Standard m8 x m13 won't fit very easily. What comes off is 12mm and that's what goes back on.

And obviously not 34 of them-36 required just for intakes and heads 36 studs.


I replace them each time with fresh from Belmetric.
No real reason for those 2 on top of support bracket but certainly everywhere else.

If you include throttle body and t-stat housing and bracket top you need 45 nuts.
