BMW E3 Kombi

I thought this might be interesting to some E3 enthusiasts. We are restoring one of the 3 E3 Kombi`s built by BMW in 1970 for their race department. The cars were based on a 3;0s saloon with a roll cage & all of the rear seat area boarded for storage, and sleeping!
We think this is the only one left and intend to restore it and use it again.
I will try to put some pictures up.

I know that The Werkshop in Chicago has been restoring a couple of E3 station wagons. Is the one you are referring to one of those?

Is it a "Touring", an "Estate", a "Kombi" or a "Station Wagon"?

Some of you might recognize the guy in the red van.
This was long before he upgraded to a white Mercedes truck, with yellow and red stripes (and its content).

realized upon request, only few left....I'd buy one , if only italian import documents were not so problematic...

Well... this was 18 years ago.
I am not 100% sure, but I suppose he was.
Maybe Yannick or Gerrit will know ?

This is a conversion done in the UK at the time, no doubt a lovely car. But for clarity, its not one of the E3 Kombi's made by the factory for the racing department mentioned at the start of this post.
