Not Mine - Made you look!
This is a wall of text and photos so I higlighted some key points for those with a low attention span.
The time really has come for my Seattle BMW friend @Vitaliy semenyuk to sell his project. His family is growing and his priorities are shifting, depsite the desire to finish this car.
The car in question has some really big positives along with some sticky points. Starting with the good, the original color is the very rare and beautiful color Riviera Blue. Obviously we don't know the production numbers, but only .03% (less than half a percent) of our registered e9's are Riviera. It is truely a rare color, and quite stunning. E9's seem to wear blue the best and you probably won't see another e9 in the flesh with this color. The other plus side is the interior is absolutely beautiful. The car also comes equipped with a B35 with an early intake, and a G265.
Many may remember this car Verona-painted car from CoPart a few years ago. The car suffered a minor engine fire that put the vehicle in a salvage status. I doubt that salvage title would have been issued in 2017/2018 given the value spike, but it is what it is. If you have witnessed or experienced an engine fire, it is apparent that this fire was suppressed very quickly. However, the title represents a sticky point for some folks. Next up, the car has been disassembled - ready for body and paint. Vitaliy is versed at body work and had plans to do the work himself.
He isn't looking to profit from this transaction. He is was interested in getting back what he has into the car (over $15K). He has now lowered thr price to $12K. That includes the car, plus a replacement intake manifold, and a new B35 wiring harness from @sfdon. Additionally, I have some heavily (heavily) discounted parts on hold for him that can go with the car for interested buyers. That includes a complete CSI chasis harness, a heater box, and a replacement hood (free). Also included is a free replacement AC face plate to replace his single-DIN modified original.
Additionally - He has the car loaded into a trailer, which may be included with the sale for $3K.
The car is solid. Vitaliy says the floor pans are good and the rockers are solid. He will be taking some detailed photos of these areas.
