I've searched and not found the answer...

The bases for the hood and trunk Roundels are NLA. My 2000CS did not have them when I got it, but the parts manual shows them for a '67. I'd like to have them on the car but can't find them anywhere...

I don't see a lot of discussion about them here; do most folks do without? Can someone post a picture of what they look like installed?

Thanks very much,

Ed Z

perhaps someone has a used set?

Ed, i may have a NOS base for the trunk. i will look. do you know if it was different between the 2000cs and the 2800cs? i wouldn't think so. i will also look to see if i have a 2 piece front ... don't think so as its flat already.

Many thanks, Scott,

The part may show to be available, but I have yet to find a dealer with any stock.... Blunt, BMW of Atlanta, etc...

I'd be interested in any any used parts at this point... The parts are the same for the 2000CS, although my blue binder only shows the hood base and no rear Roundel at all? Maybe it's on another page...

Ed

i am pretty sure i still have a base. i don't think i sold it or gave it away ... i will look tonight

Big difference between NLA and not in stock. These parts are in Germany and get shipped on March 8th.
So they say!!!!

So they say!!!!

That's just it, Don... how long do I wait on promises?

I can mount them without the bases and add the bases later, I suppose. No matter, I know a solution will present itself.. good folks like Scott will provide :)

Thanks all for the recommendations and assistance,

Ed

Ed.

it appears that i sold the bracket at some point as i went thru all of my pins without finding it. sorry for raising your hopes.

Ok Ed, I can’t leave you hanging if Scott’s well has run dry. I have one spare. Shoot me a PM with your address and let me know how much they are new. Shipping is free.

Hi Ed (@zinz)

Well I finally dug your roundel base out of storage. It was in the bottom bin. :D Dropping it in the mail today.

These are the keeper bins from my parts car. Im curious to know how many bins you ended up with after taking your car apart. I need to build a second shed!

are you sure you want to start this in another thread Alan? look in the picture Alan, its right next to the bins - looks JUST like YOURS.

Folks like Markos are what makes this community of crazies such a great place.

I've just finished my second shed so I have a place to put the parts I take off the car. Maybe now I can start the restoration....
