MAJOR progress has been made with the CS Registry and it should be up and running within the next few weeks. Our own Markos has put his database expertise to good work and is making sure we're taken care of. He's put in hours and hours of work so we will all have a collective "raising of the glass" to him when the site is christened again.

More updates to come...

Dan

Great news! We need to make a few corrections to the VIN table data which I can provide to Mark.

Thanks Chris. Fire away! There is definitely some bad data in there. Some bad colors, and definitely bad production dates. The bad dates are easy to spot in a scatter plot because you see that the build date is way out of line with the VIN range. I'm also adding some updates to the registry listings that highlights batmobiles based on VIN's, alpina attributes, etc. Dan and I determined that the image data is best handled manually so he is trudging through that.

Kudos to Dan for all of the stuff that he manages behind the scenes. It is quite a technology feat for someone who isn't "officially" in tech.

Working with the data let's me do cool stuff like this. Ify ou don't see your color in the key you know you have a rare color. :D

BTW - Dan can probably handle the manual updates. All of the work that I am doing is bulk data updates and cleanup.

This is an excellent graphic. I've been wondering about the color distribution for a while. I'd guess this is the reported color of the cars, not necessarily the original factory color. Thus the large number of 'Other' colors. I'd like to see the names of the 'Other' colors at some point if that's easy.

I'd thought there would be even more Polaris since it seems to be such a popular color.

It will be good to get E9-driven back up and running. Thanks for all the work.

I'll take a second pass on color for the other categories. Anything that doesn't map, I'll add the color in the comments section.

The color distribution is only from our Registry but should be fairly representative.

Thanks for the chart Chris. Do you by chance have the NK color chart for 2000 CS's?

As I go through all the photos of coupes and move them over to the new site I've realized that my new favorite color is Ceylon Metalic. I never paid attention to it but it's just so unique. I've always considered my Polaris coupe boring.

Pacific is the color I was thinking of. I added it after some recent conversation here.

I lumped Polaris and Polaris Neu into Polaris. Most people don't differentiate so I just combined them. There are a handful of registered Polaris Neu's.

Even our Jan 70 2800 is Polaris Neue so I don’t think any E9 was early Polaris, it is NK era color formula.
