I have contact with a seller who needs to sell all the molds he has. Please PM for contact info,
Thanks

Thanks Koopman. PM sent. I'm sure several herehere w be interested in what these molds are. Perhaps could lead to group efforts.

Have we learned if these are molds or mouldings yet? I'd be interested in one far more than the other...

I have some mold that I'm willing to sell if the origianl seller doesn't come through. I also have mildew but that is extra
Ha ha! Mark, you know how much I love buying things from you. In this case, however, I have enough of my own mold AND mildew. :D But I bet someone else will go for it. Maybe an ebay listing: "Genuine vintage BMW mold. Not a reproduction - N.O.M."

I guess I'm assuming everyone is as smart as I am. I am sure all of you know what a mold is. A mold is for reproducing parts. Molds would not be moldings no matter what. Just being funny.
I know I could have been clearer. The seller only told me he was selling all the molds he had for making BMW body parts. I do not know him personally but he asked me if I knew anyone interested in buying them. Spend hours on the computer and hours daily on the phone so if it's something that I am not interested in I try to make the conversation as short as possible so I can make more calls.
Sorry

Well this sounds interesting. I would guess few people have "body panel molds", leading most to assume this must be "mouldings", which everyone has (except me...). I mean, how many of us are stamping out sheet metal in the shape of a fender in our garages - ha ha. :D

Well I guess it gave some of you something to joke about, most likely at the computer at work most likely earning a 6 plus figure salary. Or maybe you're in your own business and are doing the same while one of you're customers are being charged for the time. I guess I'm jealous because I was poor and had too work hard for my money.
By the way I worked in the molding business and the molds were not mouldings.

Please don't do this again Harry. Let's just get this out of the way - A significant portion of the members on this board are retired and on a fixed income. Regardless of their actual or perceived nest egg, they don't have a six figure salary as you suggest. For those of us that are working, let's not imply that we aren't "working hard" or that we are having fun on a customer's or company's dime. Realize that many folks bought their cars before the 2008 bubble, and owning an e9 does not equate to being "rich".

It is well established that your services are greatly appreciated. Stick to that model without moaning everytime you get a few humerous or contradictory responses to your threads (as we all do). You posted a nebulous ad about manufacturing molds that *may be for an e9, and *may be useful for a very select few individuals. What did you expect - really?

Don't pack your bags yet. Member still need your help. :)

Yikes - no offense intended. For the record, I do have my own firm. My time on this forum is not billed to my clients. And I don't know anyone that works harder than me. Owning my own firm means I get to win the clients, do the work, am responsible for everything that goes out of here (because my name is on the door), and I also have to clean the toilets. I typically tell people that since I hung my shingle, I work twice as hard for half as much.

That was all done in fun, responding to the messages sent that I took as being funny. I like to give back humor when I receive humor. I enjoy doing what I do,helping members whenever I can. Sometimes I am overwhelmed with requests and I work extra hard to try to answer everyone.
As far as the conversation on using computers on work time and customers time it again was used as a comeback used as humor.
I'm sure that members who own these expensive cars worked hard to be able to own them. I myself ran three businesses for friends, working on an average of 75 hours per week since I was 18 years old. I also know what hard work is.
I hope that the members who I offended will accept my apology.
Harry

If the mold is for the clamshell toolbox, great!
I am wondering what else comes from a mold? Roundels?
I know tail light lenses do,,

Work? I just wonder if Markos ever sleeps!
