I'm little confused as I'm trying to replace my timing chain tensioner guard for my 3.0 csi and what is being sold doesn't match what I removed from my engine. Here is a link from CarId.com of what is available and also being sold on ebay and doesn't match what I took out from my engine.

https://www.carid.com/mtc/engine-timing-chain-guide-mpn-11-31-1-262-273.html?singleid=784205836

Any ideas why there is a difference or should this work fine? If anyone has one please let me know.

This is definitely unfortunate news and am very surprised that the replacement parts sold by vendors does not work well based on Stevehose's reference to https://www.e9coupe.com/forum/threads/the-new-chain-tensioner-rails-are-crap.20694/#post-149735

My mechanic who is working on the engine rebuild is having his sources duplicate the existing tensioner guard. I'll keep everyone posted on how it goes as it should be ready within the next week. I'm having him make 2 so I have 1 as a backup.

I'd buy one if possible!
