I have a set of four 16" by 9.5" Weds that are in excellent condition. Very little curb blemish on the outer barrels. They have a 33 offset. so are a 'snug fit' for the rear. Two of these are spoken for by a fellow Forum member. Is there anyone who would like to have aggressive rear wheels on their e9??? A bit more on specs:

Full width of wheel, including the lips - 10.5"
Width from bead to inner to outer mounting for tire beads - 9.5"
Back set from the outside of the rear lip to the hub mounting surface - 6 5/8"
Rear barrel from seam to tire bead mounting on inside of rear lip - 7"
Front barrel from seam to tire bead mounting on inside of front lip - 2 1/2"

Lousy picture attached for consideration. I'll take some better ones for those who are interested.

Please contact me via either a conversation or a direct email with the subject 'Weds'. email is; kittyandgary at verizon dot net

Cheers,

Gary

@nosmonkey has some very similar looking wheel he bought in the UK. I think they look great too.
Mr Marcos has a cool set too.

It is exactly 10.5” at the narrowest point of the rear fender. There is another half inch of fender lip that may be rolled. That is wheel, who knows about tires.

Gary,

The Barrels clear the inside. The lip clearance is fuzzy. The measurement I really need is the wheel face down. Measure from the floor to the wheel flange.

Never mind. Basic math eludes me. 3 7/8th. My car measurements come out at 3 1/2”. With a rolled fender, there is still about 1/8th of an inch too much fender. I’ll double check again.

Well the short answer is that you need a 12mm spacer to fit a:

16x9.5 ET 35 ((6.625” - (10.5”/2))*25.4)

The long answer is a trifecta in that the barrel hits the trailing arm, the spring, and the strut.

Also...This:

Cut out poster board at 10.5” wide

A 16” wheel has a diameter over 50”:

Get the backspacing of your test wheel:

Add the difference in backspacing to your poster board:

Draw the width of your test wheel (“old wheel”) so you can use the face of the wheel to align the poster board:

To have proper result - you need to measure clearance when car/wheel is not lifted, because camber differences might be at least 1-2cm.
Outer lip measurement in fact will be less outside, but inner barrel will be more inside (on top).

Sorry Markos, doesn't really matter what i wrote above - now i see you have extra lifter under rear rocker.

Good point Wladek - I should have covered that. See the bottle jack under the trailing arm. Do you know how hard it is to load the suspension on a weightless car? :D You can’t! Jacking up the trailing arm will take the body off the jack stands. Trust me I did it right. The distance was 348mm from hub center to the fender lip, same as both sides of my project car.

I had to remove the shock, then the spring, then reinstall the shock.
