yes there are two versions, one with small hole and other with bigger hole
not sure which is for which car/version

W&N has the new ones however they don’t have any wording on them. They are plain !
The authentic ones have the letterings of course as per picture !

The cover changed at 2240252 and 2250159 fo US coupes, don’t know if large or small came first.
What's the difference in OD between the two versions?

Hi Wes,
I realise now it is not the diameter of the hole that’s different. It’s the back of the part, where it attaches to the ignition barrel that seems to vary. DeQuincy’s version would cover the putruding ignition barrel fully and fit snug. (The one I bought as per photo doesn’t)
I therefore think the one DeQuincey posted is the correct one for a RHD e9 is - ie with no lettering.
I will need to order one also, as I can’t use the one I bought.

I pull them from E21s whenever I see one at the picknpull. They fit my 73 perfectly. Never saw one with the lettering though
