Hi guys,
I have 4 Mahles and 2 seem to have some metal pitting which I assume is age related. Is this repairable? Is there such a thing as 'Metal filler'?
Secondly is there any chance that these would fit on a BMW E28? They are 7x14 E11 and I know the BMW E28 has an offset of ET20 so I assume they wont work, but wanted to double check?
Many thanks

There are at least couple methods of aluminium repair:
1. AC/DC Tig welding, mainly used for cracks, but with good specialist it also can be used as a filler (whole part need to be pre-heated, so later was no other cracks) - for little pitting i think this method is not reasonable.
2. Aluminium soldering, only as filler for pitting, something like that.

For good/better effect - whole part need to be pre-heated; also small burner might not work with big part like wheel.
3. Metal adhesive as a filler, something like JB Weld
4. Metal bondo as a filler
Much depend what type of paint later will be used on wheels in renovation process - if standard body paint you can use any of methods mentioned above, but if it will be powder coating only 1-2, or maybe also 3 if adhesive is resistant for temperature above 200C (some have up to 350C or so).
ET:
The difference between ET20 & ET11 is 9mm, it means that ET11 wheel position will be 9mm outside, closer to the arch if compare to same size ET20. As for me it will work without any issues in E28, the only difference will be just slightly different visual effect. If you have ET20 on your E28 - take a current measure (distance between arches & wheel)
