I bought this tool wrap years ago from someone on e9. He thought it was from an 850i, but when I looked at one for sale it had a tool kit similar to but not nearly as nice as the one in my coupe.

There are NO identifying marks or logos or words anywhere on the wrap. It is "heavy duty" with leather straps. Well made.

I will reply with photo

Thanks,

Steve

His dad Richard is here as ‘Sooner.’ In Farmington NM.
Chris, right you are. I just looked at two M1s for sale, and both had my tool wrap. Sooner is buying a decal or two from the run I am making.

Mystery solved.

Thanks,

Steve

Correct, Hayes bought all that were left at that time, still have my tools in one.
Sooner, curious about how many were left? What a great service to the e9 members stuck with that flimsy plastic clam shell. My "tabs" were cracked and had washers on them when I purchased my coupe. It took my original and two "parts" tool kits to make one perfect one. And still my upholsterer put metal shims behind the plastic tabs. And still I keep my tools in Hayes' tool wrap just to be safe.
