Any idea what the record is in Australia for a CSL?
Not entirely sure due to private sales however the last csl that went to auction at a Shannon’s event earlier this year fetched around $150k I believe. Looked in decent condition, however didn’t see it personally.

This car has been on before. It was listed at $275k for about 6 months then disappeared. Has now popped up again for $199k and moved on rather quickly
Interesting looking Petri wheel. It’s seems to be an authentic leather Csl wheel except that the leather wrap has been removed and not replaced.
So that is more than likely the original “foam” they have left after removing the leather?
Yes, it’s thinner and a harder compound rubber. Needs a new leather wrap. I can provide good close up pics of the leather stitching Incase a member buys this Csl.
From memory that Shannons CSL wasn't matching numbers and had quite a lot of non-CSL stuff on it.

Well anything is possible in Australia - In past year, I have seen a Mini Cooper S sell for $90k, Alfa Gulia Stepnose $200k, E24 M6 $100k, Torana AX9 $400k and recently a Ford GTHOP3 auctioned for $1 Mill. Also 2 rare 1976 and 1977 930 Turbos sold over $500k each in Vic in past month.
Also in Aus with the new customs asbestos regulations around importing, plus the already onerous luxury tax and GST, would make bringing in a good CSL very costly. Alternatively if you decided to do a full CSL Resto by professionals here, not much change from $200-$250k.
Seems a high CSL price but the best classic car examples are more expensive in Aus vs. most/all other countries. And this one appears to be an outstanding car.
Will be very interesting to follow this. Might not sell for $368 but probably over $300k if someone here really wants one.

Early 90’s restoration for $368k seems well over the top. I agree excellent examples here are getting top dollar. But for $368k I’m expecting either a fresh nut and bolt no expense spared concourse condition car, or a low mileage, one owner fully documented original untouched car.
