Hello all,
This might be new to our younger members but very interesting to all of us, being that these three cars are of great interest. The never ending J for coupe junkies!

These are the 3 Remanit, a rust free metal/ stainless steel type 2800CS Coupes than BMW had made to show that rust free cars can be made using conventional methods.

This one car is in private ownership and is at display at the ongoing Techno Classic. This car is absolutely original and jaw dropping awesome.
It’s been discussed in the past but every time it comes up, E9 hearts start to skip a beat.

Enjoy, although in German.

Hard to miss that mirror out there on the left fender. I know the one on my drivers door seems too far back, but I have gotten used to it of course. Has anyone else positioned their mirror out there on the fender and would you say it works any better?

Probably a carry over from the 2000 CS. Some of them had the fender mirrors too. These were made very early in the E9 production years, thus 2800CS.
If I have my facts right, this one was for sale only but 5-7 years ago. Lucky buyer!

I use convex front fender mirrors and find them to be very useful. However, if they are flat glass they are useless.

If I remember correctly, of the three stainless steel bodies made, one was wrecked during testing, one sold to a private individual and is unknown and this one is in the museum. If only they had made the all stainless... but then I wouldn't have been able to afford mine, so there's that.
