I am selling a few of my “collectors” steering wheels to help pay for another project, so up for sale is this amazing new in box 37cm Momo Moretti Signature Steering Wheel. The wheel comes complete with everything that was included new in the box when the wheel was originally sold. The horn button and especially the horn ring are still in the original plastic and almost impossible to find along with the grey felt cover and box. The wheel is as new condition, there is some glue residue where a small plaque was attached to the right spoke. Should come off easily with some remover. A rare opportunity to buy this collectors item. It is of course completely a usable wheel with a regular e9 momo hub.

Comes with everything seen in the picture.

$1,400 shipped anywhere.

Man I almost scored one of these. This is one of my favorite momo wheels, and my absolute favorite wood momo wheel. It has the same form factor and size as the carb CSL alpina wheel. Very pretty? GLWS!

Yup, supposedly for classic Ferrari, MB, Alfa’s & Porsche.

I’m not sure where you heard that but I think that it would be short sighted for momo to limit their signature wheels to a handful of auto makers. I see very few 70’s+ Porsche’s with wood wheels, or Alfas with 380mm wheels. I rarely see classic Ferrari’s with aftermarket wheels on them.

SOLD! Going on a beautifully restored coupe!

Thanks for all the interest. John

Hi all,

I am by no means an expert, just a nerdy collector of vintage steering wheels, but it’s really not that difficult, Momo produces aftermarket steering wheels that are able to be used on ANY make or model of which a corresponding hub is available. Therefore ALL of their wheels can be used on essentially any car as long as there is a Momo hub specific to that make and model. Momo did make some wheels for specific applications such as our beloved Momo Alpina CSL Wheel - but even that would have been able to be used on any marque, Alfa, Alpine, Ferrari, and of course BMW - hell, as silly as it sounds Momo even advertised Alpina wheels for Porsche’s back in the day! They were just trying to sell more wheels surely. None of the signature line wheels - like the Moretti - were made for any specific application. I have 4 of them (well 3 now) and they are all beautiful, but were NOT made for any specific vehicle, just like ALL Prototipo’s, Monza’s, Elites, LeMans, Daytona, etc. Porsche did have a very close relationship with Momo and outfitted some of their models with wheels more than bmw did from what I understand, and they are very popular with the early 911 crowd - but it would be erroneous to say they are Porsche wheels - they are not.

In summary most Momo’s are just aftermarket wheels that are just as home in our beloved vintage bimmers as in any other vintage car. Never believe something just because it’s on the internets - especially eBay. Those guys will say anything to sell a wheel. That vulture selling the $5K NOS Petri on eBay thinks he has a CSL Leather Petri - it’s a rubber version with a 2002 hub! :D
