I've decided to order the CSL lookalike floor mats from CocoMats.com. My car is silver with navy blue leather interior. Which mats work better with this combination?

I voted for the blue for two reasons: First, it is closer in tonality to the original floor (IE not a lot lighter or darker). And second because the grey just looks like it will show dirt and wear more. I could be wrong about that, but that's my impression.

I wish the blue checks were an even closer match to the original carpet.

Looking forward to what others think.

Just to complicate things....don't overlook their "Sisal" mats. You can get them in various colours as well, but sometimes a straight black matches the console and under dash very well. Clearly a subjective assessment. But really, difficult to go wrong with any Coco mat. Once you get them, post a photo! Mike

I’m the odd man out. I think the grey will compliment the brushed aluminum components within your interior, and play off the polaris.

No, but a set of CocoMats can turn a CSL into a CS. :)
I am the odd man out to Markos' odd man. I find most Coco mats too busy. Too distracting. A dull opart. So I would opt for the one that is closest in overall color to the original factory carpet. I have black carpet mats with BMW in two inch letters on the driver's side. That's enough for me.

I'm just curious, why do you call them "CSL lookalike" mats? We're they originally specific to

Introduced in the 1960’s as a factory accessory for BMW's 2002, 2800 and 3.0 Models, Checkered Car Mats arrived during BMW’s “Campaign of Colors”. I believe they came standard with the purchase of a CSL, but I could be wrong.

Hey now slow down! You can’t just go claiming that BMW offered Coco Mats as factory accessory
without proof. :D

Marco
su csL ,mai stati cocomats
Erano su csl aftermarket
presi in prestito da altri modelli bmw
csL aveva solo nero tappeto leggero

Translation:

on csL, never been cocomats
They were on csl aftermarket
borrowed from other BMW models
csL had only black light carpet
