So I have a line on this Personal wheel. The question is it looks to be tilted just a bit to the non spoke side.

Is that normal for the Personal wheels? Any experts (@Markos @Keshav) want to give an opinion?

I know a thing or two about Petri‘s and E9 Momo wheels (easy as they are only 2 Csl models :) ) but that’s where my wheels knowledge ends.
Who will have a detailed answer is @Hans W.
My take is that Personal is a Momo offshoot, same bolt pattern etc. The spokes are ‘dished’ as opposed to flat, another common feature in Momo wheels.
Along with a correct Momo hub and a period correct BMW hornbutton.....will surely look really nice.
whats the OD?

Keshav - thanks for that bit of info. It's 380mm so the size is right at least..

I had a 360mm personal like that. Not a Momo pattern, it fit my Nardi hub. Mine was stamped 10-67 which I took to be the production date.

I don't think that bend is original. Mine was flat and flimsy, not nearly as strong as the flat prototipos I've had.

I sold it in 2011 and dang it, early911sregistry deleted the pics. It was similar. The grip was very thin which made it look larger diameter than it was.

correction, Personal is affiliated to Nardi and not MoMo. Again, @Hans W. knows these wheels well. It’s a nice one and getting a correct hub if the one shown is not for an E9 is easy, I know Hans has those too.
38cm is a perfect size for the E9.

Found a pic of mine, not quite as similar as I thought. The markings are similar though, as is the stitching.

Anyway, cool wheel!

Mine was truly flat. My thought was that wheel was originally dished but the extra bend is not original. Just an opinion, I’ve had some old wheels but that was my only Personal.

It's interesting that you have the same hub bolts which I thought looked incongruous at best.

Is your wheel dished at all?

The picture is deceiving. The mounting holes are symmetrical, with a bolt at 3PM and 9PM. They are 74mm PCD. Momos are 70mm PCD.

My wheel is indeed dished.

These Personals were available in flat and disched, in wood and in leather, silver anodized, black anodized and polished.
90% of the 38 ones are dished, the 36 ones were flat.
Most of the wheels are late sixties ( before Personal and Nardi became one company ) but I have seen late seventies editions.
The bolts are typical Personal/Nardi.

Interesting info! Thank you, @Hans W.
So given that, does this wheel look like it should to your eyes? Is it supposed to have that slight bit of *tilt*? The 3rd pic down - that one spoke looks slightly bowed to my eyes as opposed to the others being straight..
