Hello all!

Just wondering if anyone out here has definite information on if these cars were able to be optioned with Scheel 400 Seats. My car has them and the door cards and rear seats have the same material. The front and rear seats look to never be recovered. I haven't seen any other cars with this. I know the CSL's had a different version seat and that sparked my curiosity for these seats!

Let the Scheel experts comment here...I have not seen the integrated headrest before; looks good, might be factory?...I have a couple of pairs that have the typical holes/grommets for the two headrest posts; one pair with the the low flat-ish headrests, one pair missing theirs. What is shown might be an option for me at re-uph time.

I have an old pic from Sports Car World, Oct 1970 that shows a Scheel 400 Rallye as the passenger seat for the Alpina 2800cs race car test article. I think it was an publishing/editing room error, it looks like an 2002 interior based on the shifter. A German magazine article from same test day shows a low back fixed Scheel (100) in a definite E9 interior.

My humble conclusion: a period correct performance after market option.
