Hi, I am looking for a 3.5L motor to swap into my e9 and a 5 speed trans. Please let me know if you know of anyone looking to sell a set. If the motor is modified for a bit more power that's even better. Located in New York.

Hello, I have a 3.5l engine and transmission that was pulled from my car in working on. If you want some pics please text me. It's already on a wheeled pallet and it was running. Lots of parts available with it. I'm in AS and can help with shipping.

I have a Getrag 265 5 speed transmission that is clean and in excellent condition. It has the desired speedo drive for installation into an E3 or E9. Have the linkage as well as the shift plate and shifter. Email for pictures: shermanmartinez at Hotmail dot com

The painful fact for me is it's really all about money, and how much I can sneak by my wife. The motor listed above is the ideal & longterm will probably save you as much money, pain, & heartache, but you can search the part interchange for 1988-1993 E24s E34's E32s, and you'll find engines from $500-$1200 with over 150k miles within an hour or two drive. Now, those are all Forest Gump boxes of chocolates, and you should prepare to lose the entire amount you spend. The real thing w the low class engines I'd consider right now is I've got a friend I trust with an engine w/ more miles than I want, but I've got a lower-mile engine from a seller I don't. Whaddya do?
 
Hello Mike- Here is the info on the motor and transmission. Thanks and good talking to you, I assume it is a 262 type transmission and not a 265. Not sure what car this was out of originally. I'm guessing it was a 1986 535i but it is only a guess, I assume someone here on this forum knows exactly what this is.
