It appears the http://e9-driven.com/Public/Library/BMW-E9-Manual/pages/en/index.html website might be a Covid-19 casualty. The site became in accessible about a week ago.

Does anyone know who maintains this site and if it has been taken offline permanently. I have found it a useful resource when working on my Coupe.

On a related topic, has anyone purchased the E9 CD Repair manual (ie http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/01560036111/) and if so did they find it worth the expense?

I'm thinking owning the CD repair manual might be a good idea for the long term care and feeding of my Coupe.

@dang runs the site. It isn’t updated but it is generally online.

I recommend that you spend the money on actually BMW blue books, which is what the e9-driven site was displaying.

Thank you Markos. I sent @dang a direct message to see if s/he plans to bring it back online.

Do you recommend the the actual BMW blue books because the content is more complete than the CD?

PS: My Coupe is also a 71 2800 CS, but it received Alpina modifications by Hardy & Beck around 81 or 82 so it's not stock.

@dang runs this site also. I recommend the blue books because you can flip through the pages while working on the car. I’m a digital being for the most part but it’s handy to have the manuals in physical form.

My car is a long way off from yours. :D

I didn't know there were manuals on e9-driven. If someone has copies I can put them in the Tech section

What use to be available in the e9-driven website was a nice interactive site of the shop repair manuals. It contained active hyperlinks between related topics. I'm thinking it might be the same thing that is on the CD available for purchase.

I'd love a copy of that PDF. I have a set of Blue books but always referred to the site out of convenience and greasy hands.

I bit the bullet and ordered the CD from the dealer for $106. If I can generate a PDF from it I will share. I’d love to have the original blue books, but right now I think I’d rather apply the $500 the books are going for to other parts ;).

Update >>
I received the reply on my order below.

The item being placed is no longer available from our BMW North America distribution centers, as stated we are unable to process your order at this time.

BMW isn't what it use to be at supporting customers who choose to keep their old cars on the road.

I'm pretty sure I copied everything over from e9-driven.com onto my pc and I don't find it. It must've been a link to a google drive account.

Have they gone up that much? I thought the common rate was about $150 or so. I was lucky and picked up a set of original books for $50, and my wife's xmas gift was a set of repro bound books for $99. Now I have books out in the garage, and in the house for convenient reference. :D

It appears your net worth has increased ;) ... The link below is a set currently listed on ebay for $1,000. CoupeKing lists the set on their website for $375 to $427. If feels like anything E9 has been indexed to price trends on BaT.

Yes, it was a link (kind of an app to e9-driven.com
on my phone) to the repair manual online (the blue books). I used it regulary, was very useful during the repair of my car. Especially the pictures and schematics were good. The site is now hacked by GoDaddy.com, not accessible anymore. Thats a pitty.
Is it possible to find out what has happend?

I don’t have a copy either. Booted up my old laptop which turned into a whole new migration effort. :D
