Gentlemen,
this is a foam wheel with an after market wrap. It’s the type of wheel that has the V shaped overlaps and not the square type we know from the BMW Petri’s. The square overlaps make for far better wraps and look closer to the originals.

Did these wheels have thumb/finger impressions on the back side like I see here? I should preface by saying I know zero about steering wheels other than how to use one.

Yes Petri’s do, Momo’s don’t

i do NOT see a hub in the pix ... a lot of money for a wheel without a hub

If it was a genuine NOS CSL Petri then a fanatic (me ;) ) would have leaped......but since it’s not, makes the missing hub/ cover and Petri hornbutton all the more painful

CAVEAT EMPTOR!
Original from e9 3.0 CSL (material: leather / diameter: 38cm.)
Brand new unworn, never install, in BMW original packaging
Extremely rare. The holy grail of the Petri steering wheels

Reeeaaalllyyy?!!
And all of this corrosion inside the cut-outs missed by the polishing wheel?

Speaking from experience, having just gone through the hassle of waiting a month in limbo while the article was "lost", then "delivered", no wait, it was "delivered to another post code", no wait, they tried to deliver but it was refused", no wait, it hasn't left Spain yet", "You should call the shipper yourself", etc... until it magically showed up with virtually all shipping ID stripped from it. (My office could not identify the recipient; almost shelved it as one of our product parts unopened.)

I bit on a similar advert, made the mistake of reaching out to Keshav after I hit the Send button. (Not an advert actually, I helped an 02 friend with a purchase of Turbo wheels, and got sucked into the conversation).
The wheel arrived, and was far from NOS, no original Petri button, 2002 hub with crappy after market hub cover with a poorly repaired crack the length of the cover. Seller absolutely refused to take it back, ignored my point that it wasn't even a correct E9 hub (and therefore unusable). It was then that I realized that contrary to my intention, he had sent me a PayPal link direct to a personal, rather than a business account (despite appearances). So I had no recourse with PayPal.
Fortunately they correctly advised me to go to my Visa bank, and with my correspondence as proof, Visa was able to claw back the charge against my account. I waited a month during the most rigorous part of the CV-19 shutdown, I then packed it up and shipped it back.
Between import duty and shipping back it cost me $150. But I did get most of my money back in the end.

The seller is Bruno from Spain, he does (or did at one time) have a legitimate BMW service business And still has a shop apparently. But it appears he has taken up the role as a complete scammer nowadays. Most of his stuff is fake/misleading and this “leather” Petri is particularly offensive example. As others have said, proceed with extreme caution. Really wish ebay did a better job of monitoring fake and broken items.
