After 28 years in northern Idaho, we find ourselves in Phoenix.
In Idaho, I drove the E9 about in the beautiful summer months, and this time of year, I would be preparing the 3.0CS for a long winter storage.
In Phoenix, the E9 sat in the garage all summer, being way to hot for driving, and now, I find myself preparing our E9 for winter driving.
I now look forward to a long winter!!!

Love Arizona, last time I was in Phoenix was 2015. Have a few friends there I chat with regularly. Would love to see a pic of your car on a corner in Winslow. Sedona is one of the top 5 places I'd like to live. Love the drive from Flagstaff to Sedona on 89A.

might want to go into your settings and change your location from Ketchum to Phoenix

Having spent most of my life in the Pacific Northwest, I must say, the landscapes in the Southwest are stunning by comparison. Earlier part of this year, pre-covid, we took a drive through Sedona, in our 1970 Mercedes 280SL, top off. What a weekend! I can see why Sedona is on top of your list. We are here for a couple years, hanging out with our family, then off we go to Charleston, South Carolina where we will call home.
I see you have a 1973 2002tii. I had one in the day, actually started with a 1972 Malaga Tii, which got totaled with only 6565 miles, then I replaced it with a 1973 Tii, Inca.
Attached is a photo of me and my 2002Tii. I was a Blessed at 20 to have such a cool dad, though he immediately dismissed my first choice of a Plymouth Hemi Cuda. (-;
Our son is out looking for 1972-73 2002 presently, maybe a Tii, but they are off the charts in costs. It was a $4100 car back when.

We still have a place in Ketchum, Phoenix is a stopover for a year, then off to Charleston, where we will call home. And I see close to your Atlanta.
that will be cool - there is a nice, but smaller concours each year on Kiawah island. food scene in Charleston is wonderful ... one of my favorites in the country. humidity is a bit of a downside, but its a fun city

I've been to Sedona several times. The Red Rock Canyon is gorgeous. Two of my sisters live in Phx; one of them likes to hike and gets on the mountain early in the morning in the summertime. I would think that would be the best time to get out for a drive as well.

Let us know when you get to Charleston; its not far from the little town I now call home.

South Florida is almost the same as Phoenix-drive in the winter and sweat in the summer. The A/C knob only knows "max" when the sun is shining. Now that my car is ready to drive again, I want to find a clear window film to keep the heat out of the interior after 10 AM.

Report back on what you find please. I had a couple of guys tell me that a they couldn't apply tint to the rear window because of the contour near the outside. Their product won't stretch into the correct shape. Also was told that tint may not adhere well to the defroster wires if those wires have decayed at all.

I was told the same, and a correspondingly high estimate.
