Santa Rosa area mechanic recommendation.

He's a little outside your area, but you can't beat Don Lawrence (Sfdon) in Oakland. He is a pleasure to deal with: fair prices and a true experts with these classics.
 
I've used North Bay Bavarian in Santa Rosa, off Coffey off Piner, for a long time. The owner Rick has owned E9s and even has bits lying about, and I've never had a complaint. Always some interesting cars in the garage.
 
Another thumbs up for Rick at North Bay Bavarian. Super awesome guy who owns a mint ‘73 which runs like a dream. He’s done some great work on my coupe.
His shop has grown quite a bit over the years and he now has several mechanics who take care of the more recent cars. But he does much of the work on the classics himself. Or at least supervises closely
