Anybody got a pair of these kicking about?
My pair are very rough and are missing one of the springs, which I think are NLA.
From memory there was some discussion on here how 2002 arms had the wrong spindle etc.

2002 are shorter and don't have the shepherds crook end, as i remember. chrome are very rare, only early 2800cs. satin stainless late 2800cs, early 3.0cs (before 74)

That's what I thought.
Pretty sure my 72 CSL came with chrome ones. Finding a pair, let alone a pair in good condition is challenging.

Yours would likely have originally come with satin ones, maybe someone replaced them with chrome along the way

A magnet is your friend.
stainless is non magnetic in our case

Looks like the BaT Ceylon CSi has chrome wipers so you might be onto something there (assuming they're original to the car).

It may be that Europe still got chrome in 1972 as US requirements dictated the satin wipers here. The 72 Colorado CSL nearby has chrome.

My 72 CSL has the chrome base and stainless blades. If you polish the stainless, it can appear almost chrome like.

I bought a set of chrome wiper arms and blades from CoupeKing earlier this year. I have chrome on my '72 2002 also after trading the OEM satin ones for the chrome arms from a 1600Ti (?) many years ago.

I have the stainless/chrome wipers on my coupe. It had satin wipers originally.

A local independent BMW shop owner (a friend and now retired) accidentally set his beautiful fjord csi on fire - gas vapors in the trunk. It got so hot it warped all body panels from the A pillars back. Everything forward of that was still perfect including his punched out 3.5 and 5 speed (he bought the trans new from BMW and only had 5K miles on it). He offered the whole thing to me for 6K. Looking back I should have jumped on it but we were in the middle of a remodel and I couldn't swing it. I did manage to get the full 5 speed including the driveshaft, the cool city light headlights, and the perfect stainless/chrome wiper arms. All are now on/in my coupe. Like an organ donor, he's beautiful and beloved coupe still lives on in a small way.
