Missing part (plug)

Somewhere along the way I lost the plug after installing the dual Webber’s. Does it matter? The machine seems to run like a charm.

On the air cleaner snorkel? It doesn't matter.

I'm not sure how that temperature controlled flapper works, but will it suck cold air through that opening in the winter instead of warm air off the exhaust manifold?

What size carbs and jets are ya running on the webers if ya don't mind me asking? I've been chasing an idle problem with these....

Those flaps are all seized by now and don’t get warm air from near exhaust manifold when it is very cold.

I’m not sure because they were installed in Nashville, 1990. I do know they came with 2 sets of jets. The mechanic gave me a choice. One set was “legal”, the other was racing...or so he said. Ironically I discovered that I still have the legal set, while going over all my original files.

The net experience of the racing jets is that the car goes like hell, It sucks fuel, and it’s very difficult to set the idle. But I love it “)
