Groundhog Day

As a PA. native,today I took Punxsutawney Coupe out of the garage. It saw its shadow,so we're in for 6 more years of rust....
And those of us had reason to drive the 2002's on 2/02.
Down here in Florida, I saw Bill Murray hitting flowers with his driver on the golf course where "Caddy Shack" was filmed. It's just a bike ride from my house.
Quite an interesting day...

My parents lived in Punxsutawney for 18 months from 1991 to late1993. Phil the groundhog lives in the library when he's not "working" as a seasonal prognosticator. It was a very depressed town then & probably still is. The movie Groundhog Day wasn't filmed in Punxsutawney because the town wasn't photogenic or quaint. Th nicest part was the town green from the library to the Pantall Hotel. My wife & I lived in the North Hills of Pittsburgh & would visit my parents frequently. Great BMW driving roads from Pittsburgh to Punxy.
