Coupe VS Ferrari

The horror of 14" wheels and sidewall. And the original anemic lump. We can make this car better!

The 330GTC and the 250 GTE are dream cars of mine.
However, I have driven a 250 PF Coupe, and it drove like a truck. The tiny 250cc pistons however, mean a very high revving smooth engine that is incredible.

That's funny...when I was a 12 year old in c.1967, checking out my older brother's Sports Car Graphic and R&T's, the 67 330 GTC, I knew that this car had the most beautiful rear 3/4 view ever, but also knew that I would never be able to own one. Then, astoundingly, I bought my first car, a used 69 2002 in high school, and learned about the e9s, and thought that "one day" maybe I can own the next best thing to a GTC; a German version (only took 30 years)...I first saw a 2000 from the rear, and then saw the front and thought, "what happened"? Then the 2800cs came out and all was well. I have since come to love the quirky 2000's for their cross-over from a neu-klasse front to the derriere that we all love. I still have the Sports Car Graphic with that blood-red GTC shot from above in the blanket of snow...Dec 67 or 68. Thanks for the good flashback, Drew.

Not a big fan of the 330's front end.

I think the CS more closely resembles a '67 Maserati Mexico:

Well, the Ferrari was styled by Pininfarina, the Maserati by Vignale and the E9's ancestor 3200CS was by Bertone... difficult to follow the bloodline. These were fashionable lines then, even in smaller sizes like the Alfa 105 coupé.
Quickest way a good design comes out of fashion quickly? By being perfect and becoming an instant classic!

The Lusso is still my favorite.

When I purchased Athena in 2011, she needed a newer head & other deferred maintenance addressed. She was in the shop for 4 months.

There was a Ferrari 1968 330 GTC in the shop as well.

Cuustomer asked "What is that beautiful car?"
Service Writer replied "Do you mean the red one? That's a....?"
Customer interrupted "The blue one."
Service writer replied "That's a BMW 3.0CSi another customer bought"

Athena received & still gets a lot of attention wherever she goes.

I still kick myself for not trading for a Ferrari Series II PF Cabriolet in 2000 when it was a $200K car.

You should definitely kick yourself for that , but you should also be proud of your amazing car.
Some years ago I was having dinner with my wife at a fancy new restaurant in Lisboa. I had parked the BMW right in front of it, the restaurant had a live camera and a projector so customers could see everything outside. A loud guy came and parked a then new Aston Martin just by the BMW... in less than 1 minute, some kids gathered around his car, but then a crowd of twenty, men and women, surrounded the BMW, almost ignoring the shiny supercar!
I'm sure I could pull the stunt once more, even against newer AM's... but he restaurant is closed!
