Edit: updated with price, pics & mass corrected for the black panel.

for sale:
1. very rare NOS , old pressing, original CSL tail panel 2750 euro.
2. ___SOLD____ A later pressing, with CSL numbers, but likely NOT a genuine CSL part as it is technically different compared the light grey one (discussion welcomed). 600 euro (Walloth has them for 639)

I acquired the CSL panel when I purchased a package of other e9 fenders, I thought I might need it for myself as my tail panel was also quite rough.
I had it for 3 years, up to last months when i pulled it out when tackling that area in my own E9.

Just out of curiosity I checked the partnumber and found out it was CSL part!
I was moments away of cutting it up to use the bottom section of it for my standard CS
I since finished my E9 with a half panel from Jaymic (more on that later....) and used the CSL panel as reference for dimensions. All done now, so can let it go in time for 'March-Parts-Madness'

Just some facts, comparing it side by side to the later black panel (sold in the meantime) for posterity reasons also.

light grey color, soo early pressing.
  • mass: 3.0 kg.
  • thickness measured with micrometer around keyhole: 0,76 / 0,77 mm
  • the panel is much more 'crisp' or 'sharp' compared to the black one. Most tell tale is the radius the runs below the license plate; it's 2.5 mm (compared to 4 mm on the black panel, and 3,5 mm on the Jaymic half-panel. see pic CSL4.jpg where the edges really tell this difference.
  • The panel has the desirable fog light cut out, and also no holes in the panel for under riders.

The black panel is from the '80's or 90's.
  • Mass 3.7 Kg.
  • Thickness measured with micrometer around keyhole: 0,87 mm
  • "Crispness" of the pressing: The edge that runs below the license plate has a radius of 4 mm
  • the partnumber on the part would seem to indicate that it is a CSL panel, but it is not. Someone stuck it on there to fool people perhaps?
Located in the Netherlands.
Will ship worldwide, at buyers' expense. Shipping cost to New York estimated at 250-350 euro. (full 6 sided wooden box)
I will build the wooden crate to ship (if desired) for free.

Feel free to share with others who are interested.
Happy to answer questions on the part, even if your just want to geek out on CSL details and have no intentions to buy

Choice is yours to use it in a CSL restoration, hang it on the wall as art, or as an insurance for that all-feared-soccer-mom-with-a-too-big-SUV.

I have, and prefer, Paypal.

Well, I can have the panel moved. No plans myself to move, it would take to.much time put of my hands to work on my car.

Just as an example, this is how I "crated up" the std panel for a fellow e9-er in Germany; a 6 sided wooden frame going inside a cardboard box.
For the CSL panel I would propose a full 6 sided wooden box.
